Our Community
A key part of Play Resource’s success as a strong community arts organisation must be attributed to the links it has forged through partnerships. Our partnerships with funders, industry and commerce and other community organisations, offer key support for us to be able to deliver our services and programmes.
Funders
We extend thanks to our funders for their continued support to ensure we are able to deliver vital services and programmes to our members. We have a long standing relationship with Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Belfast City Council, Youth Council for Northern Ireland and BBC Children in Need.
Community & Voluntary
Our commitment to raising environmental awareness by promoting the re-use of non-toxic waste materials in creative activities and educational projects, has resulted in a long partnership with the wider network of community and voluntary organisations across Northern Ireland. We have also played a prominent part in the UK-wide network of Scrap Stores. This includes support for several other play resource centres in Northern Ireland, whom we regularly arrange scrap swaps with.
Industry & Commerce
The generous support of industry and commerce enables us to keep the warehouse topped up and full of waste materials available for groups to collect, and help reduce the waste reaching landfill each year.
