Waste Fair Open Day
Play Resource is holding a Waste Fair to mark its annual Open Day, starting at 10am in Play Resource, North City Business Centre, Duncairn Gardens, Belfast.
Anyone working with children and young people or who has an interest in arts, play or education would benefit from attending the day. The Waste Fair is set to provide inspiration for teachers, youth and play workers to incorporate scrap and non-toxic waste materials into arts, play and educational projects.
The Waste Fair is open to members and non-members. Anyone is welcome to drop in and participate in the workshops, or just watch. The day promises to offer an exciting range of creative ideas for working with scrap materials and how to recycle 'Waste into Art'.
There will be 14 artists running workshop demonstrations throughout the day; 7 in the morning from 10am to 1pm, then another 7 artists in the afternoon from 1.30pm to 4.30pm.
Entry is free. For non-members the Waste Fair Open Day is an opportunity to take a look around the Play Resource warehouse, visit the not-for-profit art & craft shop and find out about the benefits of membership to Play Resource. There will be the opportunity to join on the day.
For members it will offer access to numerous artists and creative ideas all under one roof as well as the chance to collect waste materials as usual.
