Ideas Gallery sees the unveiling of the new ‘Scrap Portrait Gallery’ …with a few familiar faces!
Ever wondered what would happen if you were given a multitude of scrap materials, and a whole range of art & craft materials to create your own portrait?...Well that’s just what happened to the staff and board at Play Resource as part of the staff training and development day to stimulate their knowledge of scrap & shop materials.

Ever wondered what would happen if you were given a multitude of scrap materials, and a whole range of art & craft materials to create your own portrait?...Well that’s just what happened to the staff and board at Play Resource as part of the staff training and development day to stimulate their knowledge of scrap & shop materials.
With the stock take done and an afternoon left before Christmas the whole team at Play Resource, were given access to the waste materials and shop products to create a self portrait….The results? Well judge for yourself, the new display ‘Scrap Portrait Gallery’ has been unmasked on the Ideas Gallery and will be on show until May 2008.
Take inspiration from the display for working with any group to create self-portraits, or an image that represents you. It will work for any age group, and if our afternoon was anything to go by it will certainly provide great hilarity and fun! The finished results could not be more different. See if you can guess who is who!!??
