Arts Outreach

Creative Paths offers an Arts Outreach Programme - the aim is to offer any member group access to affordable workshops for children and young people to be delivered in community centres, youth clubs and school settings.

We arrange for an experienced community artist to deliver a workshop at your centre. Each workshop is tailored to:
• Suit the age and ability of the children in your group.
• Ensure high quality creative experiences that promote learning and development.
• Offer guidance for preparation and delivery of each workshop to encourage collaboration between the artist and the group.
• Support any specific learning objectives of your group, or those that arise from the Northern Ireland Schools Curriculum or Youth Service Curriculum.
• Incorporate a diverse range of skills including arts, music and dance.

Workshops
Workshops can also be designed with age, process, product or issue-based projects in mind. These can range from short one off projects to extensive arts projects run over a period of time. The list of workshops is not definitive. The range of workshops currently are running suitable for:
• Early Years - Children aged 3+
• Children & Young People - Aged 5-25 with models, mural, masks, papier mache, puppetry, printing, textile art, mosaic, sculpture
• Environmental Arts - will suit any age, and provides learning opportunities focused on exploring environmental issues through arts focusing on reduce, re-use and recycle.

Flexibility
If there is something in particular you want not listed, or specific seasonal activities, or wish to adapt a workshop for another age range please contact us to discuss it further.

Bursary Scheme
We offer support through our bursary scheme to any member group based in areas experiencing social and economic deprivation, inner city and rural areas. Groups that meet the criteria can access a bursary of 60% artist's fees.

Costs
Groups applying for an outreach workshop will pay for artists fees - based on a rate of £30 per hour. Please note groups are responsible for material costs for each project. If you are successful in applying for a Busary Scheme this will significantly reduced to £12 per hour. Play Resource covers the additional costs of preparation fees and artists travel costs.
