Arts Programme

We believe that the value of play and creative expression cannot be underestimated. We therefore developed Creative Paths - our Arts Programme - designed to increase children and young people's participation in the arts and play.

Creative Paths will:
• Give children and young people throughout Northern Ireland opportunities to engage in high quality creative experiences that promote learning and development
• Encourage children's creativity and confidence through artistic expression
• Add vitality to your arts programme
• Increase youth/play workers and teachers confidence to be able to bring new skills and ideas to your workplace
• Provide groups with the skills to explore the full potential of arts, play and waste materials.

The key elements include our Arts Outreach work run to offer high quality affordable workshops designed to suit the age and ability of children in each group. We send out experienced artists to work with your group. The choice of workshops offered is varied, but includes Environmental Arts and Early Years.

We offer support to groups in areas experiencing social and economic deprivation, inner city and rural areas by giving groups access to a bursary that covers 60% of the artist's fees.

The other key element running throughout the year is the exciting programme of in-house Training Opportunities. You can drop in to the free demonstrations programme and get access to an experienced artist for tips, advice and ideas. The training workshops will bring new skills to work with your group. These are booked by participants, on a first come first served basis.
